Where to stay in the UK

London is amazing, but the British countryside is like a fairytale. No surprise that has been the setting for so many good movies. From The Holiday to the Theory of Everything, and from Robin Hood to Pride & Prejudice. Not to mention the recently Oscar awarded The Favourite. Everyone still with me?

We’ve explored quite a bit since we moved to the UK, although distances are long and traffic is manic. For us is all about weekend trips or bank holidays, never had the courage to give up a week in the sunny Europe for a holiday up north.

For those reading us for a while now, you must know how important is to choose a unique place to stay. So we put a lot of effort in finding the perfect places for our getaways.

Brownber Hall, Cumbria. More about our trip to Lake District, here.

The Wild Rabbit, Kingham, Costwolds

The Quethiock House (airbnb), Cornwall. Complete guide for Cornwall here.

The Duke William, lovely pub with rooms in Ickam, Kent. More about our weekend in Kent here.

The Artist Residence, Brighton.

Anne’s Sheperds Hut, Wales

Masons Arms, Meysey Hampton, pub with rooms in the Cotswolds

This list will be refreshed with the most recent travels, so keep an eye in here for updates. Got questions? Drop us a comment.
