Tried & tested in Stockholm

It’s something about this city that makes me wanna go back. We’ve spent another fabulous weekend in Stockholm, enjoying a fika, discovering new places and exploring the city.

Planning a trip there? Here you have some tried & tested places we’d definitely recommend.

Where to stay?

If you’re looking for a cool place to stay, I’d recommend you considering Hobo. Located in the heart of the city, close to everything (we’ve literally walked everywhere, from Gamla Stan, to Sodermalm or even to Djurgården), it’s the ideal place for exploring around.

Although it has 201 rooms (I was quite surprised reading this!!!), you don’t get the impression you stay in a large hotel. I would rather describe Hobo as a boutique hotel, mainly because its unique concept & design, but also its energetic vibe. In addition to a restaurant, bar and cafe, you’ll also find exhibitions, shops, workspaces, flowers and a gym. So you can look for more than a good night’s sleep.

Their food philosophy is all about fresh, organic locally-sourced produce. Even their cocktails. They’ve got an Urban Farming herb garden in their lobby, which they use to grow the spices used in drinks and dishes. They believe in sustainability and helping in having a healthy planet.

We’ve made you curios about it? Book a room and see it with your eyes 🙂

Getting hungry?

If you fancy a delicious brunch, somewhere far from the bustling city, close to the nature, surrounded by trees, flowers and green grass, than you should definitely go to Rosendals Trädgård. It’s sort of magic. This place is not only about making your tummy happy, but also filling you with energy and good mood.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can go there at any time of the year. They’ve got a huge garden, where you’re free to have a picnic if you wish too! It’s up to you whether you want to enjoy their delicious food or bring something with you.

In addition to the restaurant, there’s also a shop (selling bread, the famous cinnamon bun, gems, sweets, kitchen accessories, etc), but also a plant/flower nursery. They’ve got something for everybody.

No need to book, just go there! Check first for the opening times, as it might not be the right place if you’re looking for an early breakfast!

Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a drink or have lunch/dinner, we’d definitely recommend The Grill restaurant at Fotografiska museum. It’s the place to be in the evening, if you want to watch the sunset. The food is nice and the atmosphere is lovely.

If you choose it for dinner, make sure you book in advance as it gets quite busy.
